About Autonomous Solutions Inc
Autonomous Solutions Inc (ASI) was founded in 2000 as a spin-off from the Center for Self-Organizing and Intelligent Systems at Utah State University, growing to become one of the largest privately held robotics-focused companies in the world. Originally created to develop precision agriculture technologies for John Deere, ASI now designs and manufactures unmanned vehicle systems, software, and components for industrial, agricultural, automotive proving ground, and military customers. Their Mobius autonomous fleet management system transforms vehicle fleets of all sizes into entirely autonomous operations, from small bomb disposal robots to massive mining haul trucks. ASI operates a 100-acre proving ground in Northern Utah with additional offices in Salt Lake City and Dallas/Fort Worth. The company entered the mining industry at MINExpo 2008, demonstrating robotic bulldozers and their Guideline Robotic Convoy System. ASI sold its mining business unit to Epiroc, a world leader in mining equipment, after Epiroc acquired a 34 percent stake in 2018 and subsequently took full ownership. The Utah Governors Office of Economic Development supported ASI expansion plans to add up to 135 high-paying jobs and $3.3 million in state tax revenue. Trusted by Fortune 500 companies across heavy construction, agriculture, logistics, and landscaping, ASI transforms dirty, dull, and dangerous operations into efficient, scalable, and reliably productive autonomous systems.
