AutoNxt Automation is a Mumbai, India-based company developing India's first electric, self-driving tractors with Level 3 autonomy powered by AI and 5G technology. Founded in 2016 by Kaustubh Dhonde, a 24-year-old electronics engineer at the time, the company has raised approximately INR 24 crore ( million) from investors including Saama Capital and Bluehill Capital. The product lineup includes three electric tractor models: X25H2 (25HP compact, upcoming), X45H2 (45HP, currently available), and X60H2 (60HP heavy-duty, upcoming). Key specifications include a 32 kW high-efficiency electric motor, 8-10 hour battery life, and performance matching 35-55 HP diesel tractors. The tractors use LiDAR, RADAR, and synchronized cameras for navigation and obstacle avoidance, with a cloud-based software platform processing over 100 tractor parameters every second with 99.7% accuracy for predictive maintenance and autonomous navigation. AutoNxt claims approximately 60% lower operating costs compared to diesel alternatives, with silent operation preventing health risks like spinal injuries and hearing loss common with conventional tractors. Battery life is approximately 10 years with charging costs around one-third of diesel fueling. Beyond agriculture, the company targets cement manufacturing, metal manufacturing, construction, airports, defense logistics, and biomass operations. Notable partnerships include Reliance Industries, Thermax, BAIF, Noida Airport, and DKSM. AutoNxt has ambitious plans to capture 10-20% of the Indian tractor market by 2030.
