About Createc

Createc is a UK-based company specializing in robotics, radiation measurement, navigation, perception, and sensing technologies for nuclear decommissioning and industrial applications. Established in 2010 with headquarters in Cumbria and offices in Oxford, Japan, and Norway, the company has grown to over 60 employees with global presence. Createc developed the groundbreaking Automated Nuclear Detection Cell (AND-C) technology, a robotic solution that maps and segments different levels of nuclear waste without human exposure to hazardous environments. Their N-Visage technology is commercially deployed at Sellafield in the UK and extensively at the Fukushima Daiichi site in Japan, demonstrating their international impact on nuclear safety. As a Boston Dynamics Gold Partner, Createc pioneers the use of Spot robots customized for industrial challenges worldwide. The company was selected for the major Auto-SAS project with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, a £9.5 million investment over four years in collaboration with Sellafield Ltd and Nuclear Waste Services, delivered jointly with AtkinsRealis through their ARCTEC partnership. Phase 1 runs from June 2025 to August 2027 delivering a fully operational system in an inactive environment, with Phase 2 demonstrating active operations at Oldbury. Createcs business model centers on grant-funded research and development, demonstrating first-of-a-kind technologies and productizing impactful solutions. They participated in an £8.5 million competition for nuclear decommissioning robots, receiving up to £1.5 million to build prototype demonstrators.
