Established in 2023 as a division of Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC), GAC Robotics focuses on the development of the GoMate humanoid robot. GAC, a major Chinese automaker with 2.5M+ annual sales, leverages its existing R&D center (founded 2006) & automotive tech (electric platforms, autonomous driving) to support robotics innovation. While early-stage, GAC Robotics benefits from its parent company’s substantial resources & established manufacturing capabilities, positioning it to potentially integrate robotics into automotive production & beyond. No significant partnerships or funding rounds have been publicly disclosed yet.
