About MAB Robotics

MAB Robotics is a Polish startup headquartered in Poznań, developing legged robots for industrial inspection in energy, construction, mining, and infrastructure sectors. Founded in 2016 as the first spin-off from Poznań University of Technology, the company has created the Honey Badger 4.0—a quadruped robot distinguished by its waterproof construction and capability for underwater operation, enabling inspection of sewer pipes, underground tunnels, and other challenging environments. The Honey Badger 4.0 features impressive specifications: 60cm length, 50cm height, 12kg weight, top speed of 1 m/s, 2-hour battery life, and operational capability at depths up to 100 meters underground. The robot's ability to traverse uneven terrain, climb obstacles, and operate in flooded conditions makes it uniquely suited for inspecting infrastructure that is dangerous or inaccessible for human workers. MAB Robotics was recognized with an RBR50 Innovation Award from The Robot Report, acknowledging their contribution to advancing legged robotics for practical industrial applications. Co-founded by CTO Jakub Bartoszek, the company leverages its academic origins to combine cutting-edge research with commercial product development. The Honey Badger represents a growing category of inspection robots designed to reduce risk for workers while providing consistent, high-quality data collection in environments including power generation facilities, underground mines, water treatment infrastructure, and construction sites. As industrial facilities face aging infrastructure and stricter safety requirements, MAB Robotics's waterproof quadruped offers a compelling solution for autonomous inspection in the most demanding environments.
