About MX3D

MX3D is a pioneering Dutch robotics company specializing in Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), combining multi-axis industrial robot arms with advanced welding technology to 3D print large-scale metal structures. Spun out of Joris Laarman Lab, the company gained global recognition for creating the world's first 3D-printed stainless steel bridge - a 12-metre span installed over an Amsterdam canal in 2021 and opened by Queen Maxima. MX3D's proprietary MetalXL software provides complete WAAM process control. The technology reduces material waste by over 80% compared to traditional casting and forging.
