About Sally Corporation

Sally Corporation, also known as Sally Dark Rides, is a Jacksonville, Florida-based dark ride and animatronic manufacturing company serving amusement parks, attractions, museums, and retail clients worldwide since 1977. Founded by high school friends John Fox and John Rob Holland, the company began by creating animatronics for commercial applications, including an animated figure of President Lyndon B. Johnson for Neiman Marcus that was later donated to the LBJ Library. Over 44 years, Sally has become a world leader in animatronics and theme park ride design, operating from a 40,000 square foot facility that serves as both office and production shop for their team of engineers, technicians, fabricators, and artists. They offer complete design/build services from concept to installation including scripting, audio and music production, props and sets, lighting and special effects, electronics, and project management. Sally has created mainstay attractions for major brands including Sesame Street, DC Comics Justice League, and Warner Bros. Recent projects include SpongeBobs Crazy Carnival Ride at Circus Circus in Las Vegas and the upcoming Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare for Kings Island in 2026. The company received the 2020 Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement from the Themed Entertainment Association, and their Sesame Street: Street Mission at PortAventura World won Park World Excellence Awards Family Ride of the Year and European Star Award for Europes Best New Ride. In 2013, the company was inducted into the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Hall of Fame.
